The award seeks to enhance the best national music from Chilean films premiered during the year. This is sponsored by the Chilean Society of Authors SCD, an organization that also appoints the special jury consisting of three musicians who watch the films and select the best music. Read More
The Hall of Honor of the National Congress dressed up and screened the latest film of the Chilean filmmaker, "And Suddenly the Dawn", to a distinguished audience framed within the events of the Viña del Mar Film Festival. Caiozzi appreciated the ceremony and, at the same time, he emphasized the great role the House of Representatives plays in the Chilean democracy.

La participación de Chile en el 13° Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de Brasil que se extenderá hasta mañana 1ero de agosto ha sido más que positiva en las diferentes instancias y salas de esta gran metrópoli que es Sao Paulo.
El encuentro que fundamentalmente se avoca a la divulgación y reflexión estética del cine realizado en América Latina y el Caribe, tiene un promedio de público de 30 mil personas y se proyectan alrededor de 80 películas de 11 países en esta 13° versión que viene a consolidar una de las muestras más importantes de América Latina
"Y de Pronto el Amanecer" de Silvio Caiozzi que fue estrenada en Chile en abril de este año y que logró completar siete semanas en la cartelera nacional fue invitada especialmente junto a su director a participar en el Festival dentro del espacio denominado Contemporáneo Chile en donde también participaron las películas chilenas “Dry Martina” de Che Sandoval, “Princesita” de Marialy Rivas, y “Niñas Araña” de Guillermo Helo”.
El film que fue presentado el sábado 28 en el espacio Contemporáneo Foco Chile, tuvo una respuesta más que positiva del público en donde el propio director de la película se manifestó asombrado con el impacto positivo de “Y de Pronto el Amanecer” en el marco del certamen.
“Ha sido una experiencia muy positiva haber sido invitado a esta sección especial para Chile del Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de Sao Paulo. Este Festival es muy importante para la región por el trabajo que realiza y la reflexión que se lleva a cabo. Eso es tremendamente valioso. En cuanto a “Y de Pronto el Amanecer” puedo decir que es siempre satisfactorio para mí ver la respuesta de la gente que se emociona con la película y que se reencuentra con el lado humano que hemos perdido”.
